I just want to start off by saying how grateful I am to Aaron for making Tuesday night so amazing.
Aaron has got to be one of the most gracious and giving people I've ever met. I got the chance to meet him again on October 13 for the Clemson show. I had met up with my friend Tony and my new friend Amanda earlier, and we were hanging out by the venue when Aaron walked up. He'd recognized the three of us and came by to talk for a minute. He said he was going to a meet and greet, but he'd like to hang out more after the show and gave us a spot and time to meet him.
The show was awesome as always, actually probably one of the better Staind shows I've seen, which is saying a lot. After the show, the three of us went to our "meeting spot" to wait for Aaron. We talked about how Tony was a ninja and would do ninja moves down to Aaron's bus to get him for us. After a short while, Aaron showed up by his bus and motioned for us to come down. He talked motorcycles for a bit and said he wouldn't give us rides because Tony and I were the wrong sex. Tony and I had some stuff to sign, but Aaron didn't have a sharpie on him, so he invited us into his bus. There we sat for around 2.5 hours just hanging out. The entire time, Aaron was trying to get me to like his country music by saying, "young man, I used to listen to this while I was sitting on my grandfather's lap". And just in case you're reading this, Aaron, some of the country wasn't too bad--I liked the George Jones...but I'm not too sure about the David Allan Coe...I'll be sure to request David Allan Coe at the next solo show to see what you'll do.
Anyway, needless to say I had a great time hanging with my hero, who has already given me so much, and two awesome friends.
Aaron has done so much for me in his music alone, not to mention everything else he's done for me personally. And to allow me to hang out with him for that long is just amazing. I'm truely touched by his graciousness. I really can't put into words the way his acts of kindness towards me have touched me. What you've done for me and the time you've spent with me means more than you could ever know.
Thank you, Aaron.
