im really kinda nervous about writing a blog because i dont feel like my opinion should mean any more than someone elses. with that being said i would like to share a website with you that is startling to say the least. its i think as the people whose country this is we have a right to know the truth. whether you are a liberal(uggh) a liberatarian, or conservative there is no argueing that we are lucky and blessed to have this place to call our home. it truely saddens me to hear the way people talk about this country. it infuriates me to watch us time after time year after year put these corrupt, power hungry, bought and paid for puppets in charge of that which we take for granted every single day and then we complain about it while they suck us dry with overtaxation and over-regulation of our small businesses and our corporations in order to fund their own agendas wether they are in americas best interests or not. we have allowed our public servants to become elitists. we complain about the best healthcare in the world. people from everywhere travel here daily for our doctors and hospitals. we complain about taxes when we allow welfare to be abused to the extent it is,when we allow the government to keep growing and spending more of our money. we allow people to come here without going through the same process our families had to go through in order to be a citizen of this country. they take from the system and reap the benefits of the system without being a part of it. ALL OF THIS WE ALLOW. maybe if american history was still required in this completely fucked, government controlled education system we have, we would be a little more aware of what took place over the last 300 and some odd years for this to be our home. the "change" we all seek is not barrack we're fucked obama, its been right under our noses the entire time.......its called THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE ...hundreds of thousands of good selfless men and women have died protecting that document in the name of country and honor. what has happened to us........ we are afraid of work, afraid to fight, afraid to stand up and be proud of a country that our american ancestors, our blood, died to preserve. i have traveled all over the world and seen many cultures and many different systems of government and there is no place on this earth that i would rather call home than this golden land of opportunity that is the USA......i think dorothy said it best "there's no place like home" and i couldnt agree more. i am the american dream. i grew up in a trailer park just outside castleton VT. i came from( just getting by) lower middle class america and was given an opportunity that has snowballed into this. im no different than any one of you and could have been any one of you. i am america italian welsh english german russian and polish......can you say melting pot. throw irish and french in there for my daughters and thats about as "american" as you can get. i love this country and long to see us all pull together as one white yellow orange green red purple aquamarine magenta.........americans. im proud to an american......are you?

I couldn't agree with you more. I am a nurse manager in a large nationally known hospital and frequently go to Washington on behalf of the healthcare crisis. I see day to day how the economy is going to hell in a handbasket. More hardworking people are getting the short end of the stick. We see more and more higher class people come in now with hardly a shirt on their back and I belleve we have Congress to thank for all this BS. You can rest assured that they are not taking cuts for themselves though. I have seen it first hand. They keep on raking it in and then loosely throwing out ideas to "save" what they have created. I do still love America and would not want to be anywhere else. I do believe that if you come to our country then you need to learn our language. How else do these people expect to really get by. My full respect goes out to the guys and gals in Iraq as they have given their complete dedication to protecting our free country. Just think if we were not a "free nation" as so many other countries are.

Aaron, thanks for your blog and opinions-it's nice to see someone in your position comment on real world stuff. Hope to see you in NC soon again.

Great post Aaron!
I agree 100%, especially of the elected "elite" that don't give a fuck about anything other than self promotion once they are in office. It's awsome that you still feel mainstreams Americans like myself who bust their ass without getting anywhere, and the fucking "welfare" community seems to be living higher and higher with each new year or each new bastard baby.
I really wish that other famous people such as yourself wouldn't forget the hardships of the working class FAMILIES; other celebrities need to start to use their forums for more than saving god damn animals and promoting gay rights.
You're the man- Stu Kraft

Im so proud & blessed 2 be in this country. I was born in Colombia-abandoned by my birth parents, left on the steps of the orphanage were my adopted parents SAVED me & brought me to this great country. I became a citizen of this country when i was about 5. I TRULY understand how great this country is & the endless opportunity that we have just by living here. If i still was in Colombia-who knows what my life would be like-i may not even be alive!! SO KUDOS Aaron KUDOS!

So true Aaron. I agree 100% and could not have expressed myself any better. It is great to read your insight, you seem truly unchanged by your success and public status.
With the many lobbyists and special interest groups running this country, we sometimes lose perceptoin of where we all came from and what our obligation is to maintain or possibly reestablish the true virtues of America for our children and grandchildren. I now understand that I was fourtunate to have been raised by my grandparents and knew that my only helping hand was the one at the end of my arm. So many people in this country are truly UnAmerican these days by thinking they are ENTITLED to all the things so many have worked their asses off for. I'm Pissed off too brother!

The problem lies with us (I included) who are reading this saying, yes you are right, but refuse to do anything but talk about it.

Amen Aaron!! You are so right. I agree with you totally about the government being so fucked up and how it's changing everything around us and making life so misserable for those of us barely getting by. I too grew up in a lower middle class family, much like yourself. I understand where you are coming from. We are literally worse off right now than we were when I was growing up. I come from a farming community so my dad was a farmer, but now he's retired and Social Security helping, but it's still barely enough, with all the medicines that my parents have to buy each month. I agree with Trace~ it does seem like we're losing control of the government. They seem to only care about themselves not the rest of us. That's so pathetic that this is what we're coming to in this day and age. Whatever happend to the home of the free and the brave and the land of opportunity?? It seems more like the land of the Un-Opportunity right now with this economy, the government and all the unemployment. We still are in a better place though than most of the world because we have a lot of things that most countries can only dream of having one day and they do without, while we are fortunate to have these things that we have
