happy turkey day

hey there - just want to check in and wish everyone a happy thanksgiving!!! i hope you all get to be with your families and can enjoy the day. we get to spend another thanksgiving on the road. it really sucks having to be away from the family but that's part of the gig. i'd give anything to be able to be home but what are you gonna do?

one good thing about the day though... i'll be going to the cowboy's game. i have friend (marc colombo) who plays for the cowboy's and he lined us up with some tix for the game. we got to do this a few years ago also and it was a lot of fun. we brought the bus and tailgated before the game. looks like we'll be doing the same thing this year. so i won't be able to be with my family but we will be able to watch a football game - not as good but it will have to do. it's a pretty cool coincidence that we're near dallas on thanksgiving again but we are!!

funny story about marc colombo. i met him about 5 years ago or so when he was playing for the bears. he was introduced to me by a friend of ours who worked for elektra records at the time and came to a couple of gigs. he actually made it into the video for "so far away". if you watch the video he's the guy who they show his head and then start to pan down and about the shoulder's you see jon and then about his elbow you see me. needless to say - he's a big dude!! anyhoo, thanks for the tix buddy!! and again - i hope everyone has a great thanksgiving!!!
