Yup it's definately sad...in the line of work I'm in, I have to see it all the time...I had a friend not long ago that didn't make it...she got tired of fighting and just let go...it broke my heart...she was 42...I haven't cried in a long time, but I cried like a baby that day because I was there when she went into a coma and then came out for like 2 minutes and then went right back in and died the next day and she had a 17 yr old daughter and an 18 year old son that she left behind. We are all glad she isn't hurting anymore, but the kids didn't take it well..now they kinda turn to me as like a second mom and it's tough....the daughter is taking it much worse than the son...he is getting ready to go into the army so he is thinking about that...but the daughter... I hear it all the time how she just wants her mom back...I also had another friend that made it through all the chemo and stuff and is doing well...and my best friends dad is going through chemo right now....he seems to be making through it ok...he is even still working his job and hasn't had any side effects yet....but yeah it's heart breaking but people do make it through...
Lol...I'll never forget when my brother had to do it....lol....what was funny is that he said well "I was cold and the blood was warm so....it wasn't all that bad"...lol....Yeah I would prob go if I had a husband who asked me too just to be there for something they enjoy....it's not too bad just don't care to get up before the crack of dawn to freeze lol....mmmm as far as the kid with cancer you might be able to write Drury Outdoors who is over the foundation and find out if he is doing better....other than that I don't really know how else you could find out...
Awesome!! And if I'm not mistaken when you buy the dvd it also donates to the foundation. I don't know if you would like one, but you can also go to the same website and purchase a Team Lewis Shirt or a shirt for which ever team you liked. It also contributes to the foundation. Yeah I'm not much of a hunter either. But I do have a lot of hunters in my family. I have gone deer hunting before, but I usually end up freezing or falling asleep lol. The most fun I get out of deer hunting is the four wheeler ride through the mud lol, well and I love to shoot guns. I did go dove hunting a few times. That was a little more exciting to me and I liked the challenge of shooting something flying through the air. I will never forget my first time, lol, when I shot at my first dove, the shotgun sat me right on my ass, but I was only 12 and if I remember correctly I was shooting with a 12 gauge. Then when I was 14 I shot my first dove and got hooked for a while just because it became a strategy game to me. I think one of the reasons for not really wanting to kill a deer either was the fact that in my family it's tradition to smear deer blood all over your face and as the girl I wasn't too thilled about that lol.
