So once again here comes a Staind show that is more than two hours away from me that I am scraping all the money I have together to buy a ticket and fill up my tank and go. I'm just not sure how much more I can do. Staind is obviously my favorite band but sometimes I wish I didn't have to work so hard to be a loyal fan. I have driven at least two hours to see them every time I've had the opportunity, and for a broke person, it gets expensive. I hate to say what everyone else does, but I wish they would come closer to me. Every time they've been here before, I was too young to go, and now I can go but the shows are always so far for me. :( It's just depressing. But it doesn't change anything, I'll still drive hundreds of miles for them, this time ... and the next time ... and so on because I love you guys. I just had to get it off my chest. ♥

when it comes down to it, we all ask ourselves is it worth the sacrifice??? the answer is usually hells yeah....but not just for the band, but also for the many friends we know we're gonna see when we get there....or the crazy road trips we are taking to make it all happen...but if you are traveling alone, be safe...get there but be safe...and make sure your car is in good enough shape to get there....:)

The journey is definitely always worth it. Too bad I'm too young to rent a car. lol. Four more years. :)

My car sucks and its old as hell, I usually rent a car for the weekend, less than a hundred bucks to feel very safe, and I have done a drive 10 hours alone, just met up with everyone at the show, its all good for me to get away, do some serious thinking, singing duo with Aaron/Staind that would make most people cry, and meeting up with some awesome people at the end of the journey is always worth it for me!

I drove 4 a couple of months ago. But with gas prices as they are I can't afford to do that again, my car is old and not so great on gas. Plus it's hard to find friends who want to drive that far for a concert. Doing it by myself... just isn't an option. It's not safe. I'm so excited about the Evansville show, though. Yes, I saw Aaron in Sept of 07 for his solo show, I couldn't believe he came to Louisville. :)

I have driven 12 hours a couple times to see them! We all have done some serious traveling for the band and will continue to count out change to purchase tickets, stay with friends in other towns, and find babysitters for our kids or in my case my mother! Rock on and get to the show!

Definitely. When I self-medicate... it's always an overdose of Staind :)
