I just wondered how long people have been into staind, and how you first heard of them, bit random i know!

I first heard of Staind back at the end of 1999. I was 12 then. Remember sneeking into my brothers room to nick a cd, and come accross Break the Cycle! Wondered who Staind were, so took it, put it in my cd player, and loved what i heard. I remember putting 3 tracks on a tape, outside, IBAW, and Epiphany, and i listened to those over and over again. Eventually i got a personnal cd player, and took my brothers album once again, and listened to the rest of the album (i only borrowed it for 2 years, then i got my own copy of Break the Cycle!!).

I remember then buying Dysfunction in 2002, and again loved it. "Me" instantly stuck out on that album, and its a track i love to this day, the emotion in that track is unreal. The whole album is brilliant. Then i bought 14 Shades of Grey, again, another great album. I love Yesterday, Fill me up, and How about You, though, again, i love listening to the whole album. After that i pre ordered capter V, and when i got it in the post me and my girlfriend just sat on the bed and put it on, sat back and relaxed. Up untill that point, my Girlfriend hadnt really heard much of Staind, other than Break the Cycle, but since she has met me, ive educated her!!! And now, we are both big fans. Then i bought The Singles, and pre ordered IOP, and for me, Pardon me is my favorite track, but again, i think Staind have stepped it up a gear on this album lyricly. The emmotion in Aarons voice is immense. Ive only seen Staind live twice, at the O2 last year supporting nickelback, though i only went to see Staind, anmd at the carling acadermy, birmingham this year. I hope he comes back over again soon, ive heard rumors of June??? Dont know how true they are, and i hope one day to get the chance to meet aaron. And thats my story!!!

I just started listening to Staind this year. I just got Dysfunction, and I really like it. However, I first heard Staind back in 2001, when Break the Cycle was released. Now I just became a fan.
I first heard Staind back in 2000 I was like 15, a friend of mine came down from Indiana to visit and he was listening to Break the Cycle I loved it and went out and bought Break the Cycle and Dysfunction and have like them ever since. Their music helped me through my parents devorce and then again through me and my fieances breakup. I got to see them last year for the first time and it was awesome I cant wait for the May concert in Niagara Falls.
I was in 5th grade, so like 10 or 11 years old, when IBAW hit the radio big time. I loved the song and insisted my mom get me break the cycle for my birthday- she did, and I can not so proudly say my first copy of the CD was edited for parental advisory- lame mom.

It's been non-stop from there. About a year later when I realized staind had 2 albums out prior to break the cycle, I purchased dysfunction (which was much easier to find for a 12 year old who didn't surf the net, than tormented). Upon listening to dysfunction, I recognized mudshovel- so really I've liked staind since mudshovel hit the radio (I just didn't know it was them. I was probably like 9).

I'm 21 years old now... so for at least 10 years I've been really into staind. I've seen them live more times than I can count on 2 hands. My first staind concert was in fall of 2002, I was in 8th grade, 13 years old- it was the family values tour. I believe the line-up was static-x, deadsy, linkin park (I remember they had just put out one step closer), staind and STP. Still one of the best line-ups I've ever seen. Last year alone I saw them 4 times. I've met the band briefly twice- coolest guys ever.

Can't wait for more music from the band. Definitely my favorite band to date.
I first heard staind in 1999, i was 6. I begged for my dad to buy the CD, and he did. It changed my life
That's so cool Steve....1999/ 2000 was about the same time for me...only I was 35 then....Dysfunction was banging in my CD player all the time....we were so into AIC back then, then we heard Staind on the radio, and was blown away.....it took me several years of pushing this band on my wife, but I'd have to say she's as big or bigger fan of them now....if that's possible....
funny, it took my husband a while too. i had staind cd's playing for a couple of years, and he never cared for them...then he saw them live. "oh my god, you should hear this band 'staind'...yeah, no shit honey...welcome aboard. lol

i was 7 in 2000 when my brother, after seeing Aaron and Fred Durst do Outside at Family Values, showed me that song, then a year later in 2001 he bought BTC and they've been my favourite band ever since, i gotta see at least one of there concerts before i turn 18, i hope they come back to Ontario in a place i can get in... so ya about 9 years
I have loved Staind, since Dysfunction came out. I love that album and still listen to it all the time..I was about 16 yrs. old, I guess. I have been a fan ever since..I have seen them 3 times in concert and met them once..It was one of the best days of my life. Not in my wildest dreams, could I have ever imagined that happening to me..Just being under the same roof as them is life-changing....I can't wait to do it again someday..

They are my all time favorite band, No one can come close to Aaron's voice..The man is an amazing singer. He has totally changed my life and helped me through countless bad times. Not to mention, all the amazing people I have befriended through them.. All I have to do is put in ANY Staind CD and I feel better. I could go on all day about what they have done for me, but there's really no way to describe how I feel about this band....So, I won't even try.
whos staind?
In september 2001 on the italian warner site there was a spot for the Break The Cycle album by band named Staind. 2 mouths later I was home and listened a song from MTV. I thought it was a fucked beautiful song and at the end I read that was Staind!!!! I thought I'd like to buy the album but I didn't. In 2003 on All music there was the Us chart... at #1 there was Staind with their new album... So I listened the single Price To Play...and I loved it. So I buyed the 14 SOG album and then Break The Cycle ::)
1997 ... I was in 8th grade .. and I loved Korn and Limp Bizkit ... my buddies older brother was out in Mass. and he told us about this local band ...... ever since that moment, my life was changed .... he sent us both a copy of the Tormented CD, which I listen to for all the rest of my Jr. High days and into High School. The CD was very relative to my life, and I was a fan from the moment Tolerate started ... and when Dysfunction came out in 99, I decided these guys were my favorite band, and that was that!! Their songs have helped me all the way through those troubling teen years, and I am grateful for them to have come along. Their music has evolved along with my life, and it seems every single CD is a songtrack that relates completly to me!! I thank them for making music that means something, and I can relate to ...... I will be Forever Grateful ....
