Is there a concept about the album Tormented? There is a gun being loaded at the beginning, and fired at the end. I think this CD has something to do with death and suicide, but that's as far as I've gotten. Does anyone else know anything about Tormented's possible concept?

im going off of opinion but im pretty sure the concept of it is Aaron is depressed and gets worse throughout the cd, at the end the song four walls is basically asking for death, the gun is fired, and then theres the 20 minture funeral thing that most ppl dont bother finding and ya, basically thats it in my opinion, idk if its based on aaron or just fiction but im assuming from interview ive read its aaron hypothetically
Okay, thanks
I think it's a concept like that. But I'm not too sure because you year the gun load and then the first line of Tolerate I don't give a fuck about all of your problems. That kinda makes me think someone is complaining and threatening to kill themselves when Aaron has had to put up with worse shit in his life.

But apart from that I guess it could be a story where Aaron's character eventually degrades and commits suicide.

Apparently Self Destruct and Four Walls are the only fictional Staind songs not based on Aarons life.

Awesome CD nonetheless. Break ftw!

I've guessed from the lyrical content and album artwork that the album revolves around this concept (yes, the blood on the front cover could represent suicide). The lyrics in the song Tolerate, not just the first verse, but the chorus more so. I tried, tolerate, goodbye, empty, or in the second verse what's the point of trying. And yes, the lyrics in songs like Tolerate, Mudshovel, See Through, and Self Destruct do sound threatening. I think I'm starting to understand my first Staind CD now.
