Permalink Reply by matty80 on August 22, 2009 at 11:38am I pressed the submit button before I was done and can't go back to edit so I'll add this now. For me, "Pardon Me" jumps out at me because of the emotion in the song, not because I can relate to it. I'm very happily married. It's the songs with emotion that grab me. I feel the same thing for "The Corner."
Permalink Reply by matty80 on August 22, 2009 at 11:44am :) wot i do is, i put the album(or just a song) on repeat, and just listen to them and you'll realize how much you're missing (for Staind at least)
to be honest when I first got the cd i felt the same way, but the more i listen to it the more i realize how great this album is, for example Rainy Day Parade builds up to about 2:51 then it explodes in my face, and I thought I heard the highlight of the song at about 3:18 and already satisfied with it... the song suddenly jump to full throttle and release its true power! and it's like OMG THIS SONG IS TOO GOOD I CANT HANDLE IT (#)@*$*$(#@(#$@)##!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and then after the song i had to change my pants.. :)
There's just so much going on in Aaron's voice!
ohoh :) the first song that jumped on me's gotta be The Corner, i remember After listening through the song for the first time i was like speechless then i was like 'whoa.....' and i had to change my pants.. x)
