survey
Not sure if anyone has taken the new staind survey, but I just completed it and I noticed a couple of things that were a bit weird if I must say. First of all, they ask for my top 3 favorite staind songs, but they don't actually list all of staind's songs. In fact, two of my favorites were not even options. Also, the question regarding the Illusion of Progress only had three answers: Best to date, Not as good as the others, ( I actually forget the other answer but it wasnt good either). Personally, I liked the album, but maybe I liked only one other one better. I'm just saying, they wont know how I personally feel, because some of the answers were limited. I did, however, like listening to parts of new songs off the new album, (liked them very much) & I didn't mind taking the survey. I'm actually happy that they have one. Want to know if anyone else feels this way.

I think the survey is to know what direction they should go after the contract is done. Gives them an idea of whether or not to put out physical cd copies, what radio stations to target, etc.

there were a few things that were off about it. there were songs not listed. idk why. wierd. i was happy to take it though. even though i doubt our opinions will dictate what direction they take with thier music. i don't think it should anyway. i think it was more of a way for them to see what demographic to target the hardest. and what radio stations/ musical formats to target. i will tell you this right now if this album is promoted properly it will fuckin kill in the 18-25 age group. i've told a few people i know to listen to some of the new songs. most of these people have said Staind has fallen out of favor with them, and the majority have told me that they will be purchasing this album. lol i will do all i can to help promote this record as Staind deserves it. and i don't think the label did the best job promoting TIOP which i think is bullshit because Staind is by far the best band out there right now. and has been since atleast 2001. but they've always been underrated in my opinion. i have bought and i own everything from Tormented to Town Line and i've loved every second of every track. i ask all my fellow Staind fans to inform as many people as you possibly can about this record. lets make this motherfucker hit #1 immediately!!!!.....btw sorry for writing a goddamn book lol

yeah ... noticed that reality isnt on there ... which is my favorite lyrics song ... and the collective people, fist saw them at last years benifit show ... so dont know too much about them.

I agree. Reality is also my favorite song and I couldn't believe that it wasn't an option. I feel as though staind tends to put out singles of songs that they or maybe the label believes will be popular, but not their best work. I hope Not Again is as good as Eyes Wide Open. I've heard Not Again performed live through YouTube and I'm just not sure if it will be as good. I hope it is. I want staind back on top!
