Stimulate This? What, their bank accounts?

I was really excited when I heard about this show! They were calling it the "Stimulate This" tour and their was all this hype that it was going to be a super cheap show because they wanted to 'give back' to the fans in this shitty economy we're having. Then it came time to buy the tickets - $60 fuckin dollars each!! WTF!?!?!? Calling this the "Stimulate This" tour is a god damn slap in the face to your loyal fans when you're gouging them this much for the tickets. Stimulate This? The only thing being stimulated is your fucking bank accounts and egos!! What a god damn crock!

FYI! Staind doesn't get much from any sales of merchandise. The venue gets 15% of each item sold, so maybe Staind gets 2 bucks per shirt. It sucks being a rockstar after everyone gets paid you got dick left. Why do you think Staind tours so damn much? By the time their tour is done maybe they made a few hundred thounsand and that isn't alot for not being home and away from your family for months at a time only to put bread on the damn table.

This mini leasson about the music bizz is now over. haha! I read way to many books on this shit.
Hahahaha Lisa....I appreciated the lesson....Damn what a post here...i havent been on in like 10 days, and all of a sudden we got staind haters on the fan site....Im so confused!! I love them and the $ for a ticket is soooooo much better then some shows ive been to for sure! I got 4 tickets for like $172...and thats for 4 or 5 bands...thats a lil over $40 a person with fees for that much awesome music....Who could ask for better than that? I cannot freaking wait!

Cant believe he said this......"Calling this the "Stimulate This" tour is a god damn slap in the face to your loyal fans when you're gouging them this much for the tickets. Stimulate This? Like someone stole from you? Craziness.....I wonder how many illegal downloads of Stainds music this guy has on his computer.....Cause if $60(wherever that # came from Ill never know) is too much than I doubt your cheap ass would pay for a cd....that might fucking Stimulate their bank accounts more......WTF?? just gotta laugh for sure!!
I bought tickets for two different shows and didn't pay $60 a ticket to either show so I don't know whats up with that ?

The bands don't make shit off CD sales as nobody buys them anymore and downloads are cheap so little or nothing there. To make money you have to have a huge tour that is a big seller in every market plus merchandise sales have to damn good too if you do merchandise on your own if you sign a merchandise deal with the record label forget it you just get an advance that's nothing compared to what they make back off you.

Record labels dictate your merch contract, not the band. So how much money do you think they'll get back per t-shirt sold?( you get $10-$15 profit per t-shirt if you do it yourself), $2-$4
dollars a t-shirt. No joke. The record label will give you $1 - $2 dollars on a $15 sale and $3- $4 on a $30 sale. In a merch deal the record label buys all of your merch for you. You don't pay anything up front to your label or a merch company. This sounds good at first, but you'll regret this decision for the rest of your musical career if it happens!

Now lets talk ticket sales. The label again gets its cut plus the manager, then you gotta pay for promos and publicity, then the crew then add touring expenses.Trust me it's not that much when it's all said and done.Sure they make a living, but they are not stimulating their own personal bank account I assure you.Trust me I know this business very well! It ain't easy for sure being on the road working your ass off and not getting to keep the money you earned.

Here is a list of last year's top 25 tours and who made the most and Staind as much as they toured and worked even with a new CD released last year didn't make the cut.Keep in mind this is the total amount made by the tour this is not what the bands made. $60 isn't shit for a five band tour like this.If your so tight why did you even get the tickets in the first place ? Just so you could come here and bitch about it ? Yeah the economy is in the shitter, but damn they can't do a show for free or just $10 or $15 not with these bands and the quality of the tour.I'll gladly pay that for this type of show.

dude, you need to settle the fuck down, he is not taking a shot at staind, he wanted to know what was going on with the tickets cause he was curious, he was probly expecting a better deal than he thought, and dont you dare take a shot at hardcore music and say to leave the tickets to "real Staind fans" thats a load of crap, ive listened to Staind for a long time, and i listen to hardcore and metal stuff too, that doesnt mean im not a real staind fan it means i like more than one type of fucking music you one dimetional asshole, im sorry but that pisses me off alot

Hi,

You are a total asshole and tool. And this is coming from a certified shit stirrer!

What, should they work for free??? There are 4 bands, and they, to the best of my knowledge, are not charity acts.

$60 for 4 hours of fun, is completely reasonable. Walk into a whorehouse with $60, see how much fun you can get...

About the only place you can have fun with $60 for 4 hours these days is a fucking bowling alley, and that's if you like to bowl!!!

Fuck your bullshit $15 hardcore shows, they suck. And if you disagree, then just go to them and leave the Staind tix for real fans that don't whine and bitch about supporting the band. $60 for 3 major, signed, multi-platnium artists is a fucking home run in anyone's book.

Fucking loser, thanks for aggravating me!!!
wait now, im a kid, im 15, and ive been listening to Staind for a long time thanks to my brother, more of us think hannah montana is bullshit than you think, im sick of that annoying bitch, i would be at more staind concerts, but the first one ive been able to go to in toronto they cancelled..

10 million dollars....that aint shit for a tour....thats what the average baseball player makes a year....bottom line here is this...they are entertainers....and they earn a living entertaining....you dont wanna pay 40-50 bucks to see four bands play...then leave the tix for the fans that wanna see them....dont buy tix and then spew shit about how terrible it is to have to pay for them....you think the bands see 10 million for this tour??? i bet they dont 10% of that....which would be closer to a million....then split that with the other bands....i think they made less then some of the people who attended the shows.... be mad at whoever you want, just dont come here ranting and carrying on like they picked your pocket or something...man up and pay and enjoy.....and do everyone else a favor and shut up.....

You're an idiot if you think that Staind makes less money than the kids that come to their shows. Never seen MTV Cribs, huh? Ya know, if you Sheeple are happy bending over and taking it up the ass from TicketBastard and record labels, more power to you. Go ahead, pay some rich prick's yacht payment. I prefer to take a stand against this kind of price gouging...that's the only way to let these fucks know we're not gonna take it!
someone pass everyone some tampons.
