Stimulate This? What, their bank accounts?

I was really excited when I heard about this show! They were calling it the "Stimulate This" tour and their was all this hype that it was going to be a super cheap show because they wanted to 'give back' to the fans in this shitty economy we're having. Then it came time to buy the tickets - $60 fuckin dollars each!! WTF!?!?!? Calling this the "Stimulate This" tour is a god damn slap in the face to your loyal fans when you're gouging them this much for the tickets. Stimulate This? The only thing being stimulated is your fucking bank accounts and egos!! What a god damn crock!

The shows I bought tix for had prices listed at $39.50 and $22.50. Fucking Ticketmaster is charging the $15 plus the facility charge which depends on the venue.

In all honesty, Staind, or any other major label act for that matter, could price their tickets for zip.. nothing.. nada, 0 dollars and 0 cents, and the tickets would still manage to cost roughly $15. A great deal of the pricing involved in a ticket is well beyond the band and even the label's control. The band gets a small cut, the label gets a larger cut, but the biggest cut goes to the ticketing service provided and the arena at which the show is being held at.

Staind's doing their part, I'm quite certain that they're not deserving of your anger, as warranted as the anger may be. Trust me, I feel you on this one bro. I can't afford this shit, but if there's ever been a time where a lineup like this has been a 'good deal', it's now.

I didn't mean to make it sound like I'm angry with Staind. I know it's not them that are doing it and I have no ill will towards the band. It's the money hungry record label execs and greedy piggies from TicketBastard that are the problem here...I know that. I bought the tickets, but I'm not happy about the price I had to pay!

all I can say is that.. this is a messed up thread. Tickets to Madonna who has has questionable talent ( sorry Jess haha) are over a hundred dollars. You are seing how many bands here. How do you feel like they are getting rich here. You must be trying to buy them thru ticket agency that book horrible fees. I got mine on the Dysfunctional Fan Club site for $44.50 a piece. I know $60 is alot in this economy. But dude I promise you that these are cheap/ cheap compared to so many concerts.

I wouldn't say 60 dollars is cheap compared to other shows, i mean I am big hardcore fan, and i rarely spend over 15 dollars on a show, granted i'm not seeing bands as big as staind in venues as good or as big as festival pier in philly. That being said, i bought my tix thru the fan club and saved a few dollars from charges.

The charges are what is a fucking joke of the whole thing. A few years ago we went to go see the deftones and the tix were 27 dollars. After charges they were 42, thats just unreal, it almost doubled the ticket price. Unfourtantly, this is a problem we will ALWAYS have to face, and it fucking sucks.

I guess it is better than having to wake up and camp out like our parents used to get tickets to the hottest shows haha

What, should they work for free??? There are 4 bands, and they, to the best of my knowledge, are not charity acts.

$60 for 4 hours of fun, is completely reasonable. Walk into a whorehouse with $60, see how much fun you can get...

About the only place you can have fun with $60 for 4 hours these days is a fucking bowling alley, and that's if you like to bowl!!!

Fuck your bullshit $15 hardcore shows, they suck. And if you disagree, then just go to them and leave the Staind tix for real fans that don't whine and bitch about supporting the band. $60 for 3 major, signed, multi-platnium artists is a fucking home run in anyone's book.

I don't know why you're going after me dude, i wasn't saying the staind tickets were too expensive, i was just saying that 60 isn't cheap. I agree that 60 for four hours of fun isn't all that bad, but that is assuming that all the opening bands are something that one would enjoy. This tour, for me at least, happens to be a rare occurence that most of the openers i find to be enjoyable, but staind has had some TERRIBLE openers before, so it doesn't always ring true. I've seen em 13 times before, i bought tickets to see them again, it's pretty obvious i understand that 60 dollars is worth it to see staind play.

I think you need to calm down, personally. I'm not the one you should be going after.
