I will update/edit this once the numbers are available.

I have looked at all of the other CD releases slated for this Tuesday, 2011-09-13, and Staind's only real competition for the #1 debut on the Billboard Top 200 is Bush's new album, "The Sea of Memories".

Let's go Staind family, IF this is going to be the last album, don't allow it to be a flop. #2 would be great, but #1 would be one hell of a way to tell the band.... "thank you". Let's "git er done" folks!

RE: "p.s.- why are people saying fuck blabbermouth? did i miss something?"

Nima, would be my guess this is based on what Aaron said in the Doc, but I'm not sure. :) Just a hunch ... plus, have you been on there, man? It's pretty brutal.

Brutal is not the word!!...i've just been on there and looked at a few staind post and 99% of the comments are all hateing!!

Yep, Adam. It's pretty fucked up. But ... the best bands (historically) have always taken a LOT of shit. People like to hate talented artists because they're so good. I'm not sure why.

This album is just sssooo GOOD - I can't believe certain people are putting forth so much effort to bash the band right now. :(

Bush's "Sea of Memories" surely disappointed.... 20,824 units moved in its debut week, less than half of Staind's!!

1) watch the throne is the shit

2) the new bush only sold 20,000? daaaamn, doubled that.. i thought it would've been a bit more than 20k

40k.. not bad. Hope they sell at least 400K total.. Doubt it though with how stingy people are, and piracy
The new self-titled seventh album from Massachusetts rockers STAIND sold 47,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No, 5 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's previous CD, "The Illusion Of Progress", opened with 92,000 units to debut at No. 3.

STAIND topped the chart with 2001's "Break The Cycle", 2003's "14 Shades Of Grey", and 2005's "Chapter V".

Country singer Brantley Gilbert re-enters at No. 4 with his "Halfway to Heaven" album (51,000; up 15,000%), after it was reissued last week by Valory Music (the sister label of Big Machine, home to Taylor Swift). The formerly independently-released set, now distributed by Universal Music Group, spent 71 weeks on the Country Albums chart from April 2010 until August of this year, selling 135,000.

The final three debuts in the top 10 all come from rock bands as new efforts from Staind (No. 5), Dream Theater (No. 8) and the Devil Wears Prada (No. 10) arrive. Staind's new self-titled set (47,000) is its fourth top 10 album and the follow-up up to 2008's "The Illusion of Progress," which bowed at No. 3 with 92,000. Dream Theater's "A Dramatic Turn of Events" enters with 36,000, marking the act's second top 10 after 2009's "Black Clouds & Silver Linings" (40,000 first week). Another act grabbing its second top 10 album is the Devil Wears Prada, with "Dead Throne" starting with 32,000. Their first top 10 came last year, with the "Zombie" EP, which debuted and peaked at No. 10 with 25,000.

As for the holdovers on the chart, the Beatles' "1" slides 4-6 (46,000; down 24%), George Strait's "Here For a Good Time" falls 3-7 (43,000; down 53%) and Jay-Z & Kanye West's "Watch the Throne" moves 6-9 (just under 36,000; down 28%).
