I am curious, does anyone know if there was a story behind the song Zoe Jane? It was incredible and I can not tell you how much it touched my heart. My dad was not around much when I was growing up , however I knew the reasons behind it. Although I did not understand then, as an adult I can./ But the first time hearing that song ...well lets just say, I was moved in a way that music never has done before.

So, enough of my rambling, my question is, was there a story...was there a "Zoe Jane"

All info appreciated. smiles.

It's one of Aarons daughter's name, he wrote that beutiful song to her...
awwww.....so tell me something...why couldnt he be there....do you know
I think he wrote about all the changes and things he made when Zoe Jane was born. And he's away a lot touring I guess.
he wrote it for His daughter, and he is talking about how he is on the all the time, and not at home.
"Lead singer Aaron Lewis wrote this for his daughter Zoe Jane. She was born on April 5, 2002, the same day Alice In Chains lead singer Layne Staley passed, and eight years to the day Kurt Cobain passed. Layne is a huge influence to Staind, and this CD includes a track "Layne" in his honour."

Just found this...
Btw Jennifer, just read your personal info where you wrote that you might not afford Staind-tickets for your family. Here's what I think you should do (cause I'm under the impression that there's a minimum age to be able to see a concert), just leave your kids to someone you trust for a couple of hours. Mannap your husband and just go =). I'm buying my tickets tomorrow, and I'm not gonna tell my boyfriend until the very latest possible... Sooo excited! Though I can't really afford it, I'm gonna make it happen cause if I don't I know I'll regreat it forever...
Actually what I meant was when you have four children you really cant afford tickets...not to mention I am all the way in Dover De...so between airfare and the tickets...naaa will never happen. but it is nice to dream...right?
=( I'm sorry for your sake... Well, someday maybe... I'll definetly share my experience here, so maybe you can get a little feel =)
i love the song and why he wrote it. i was also born on april 5th....but 1982 ;)
