in my opinion i do not think Staind deserves to be an opening band...for example the tour with creed, by far should not be opening...i believe that every staind concert i go too i have an amazing time and i always hear a new song played live...previous concerts i have been to without staind i set there and thinkg god this is no staind concert...

I saw Staind on the Creed tour this past Saturday night. I agree Staind is too good to be an opening band but I'm glad they were since I missed them when they came through earlier in the year! I paid $200 for tickets just to see Staind. I hung around for some of the Creed show because they were better than I thought they would be. But Scott Stapp could take some lessons in being humble from Aaron. His ego was almost as big as the stage. The 10/3/09 setlist was:

Just Go
For You
Fade
So Far Away
It's Been Awhile
All I Want
Right Here
Outside
Mudshovel

The only ones I know for sure are the opening and closing song. I'm not sure about the order of the others. It was a GREAT show. I would gladly pay $200 and stand in 40 degree temps to see them again.
Very well put sanders26 and I totally agree! I went to their Utah show, all of the bands were great - even the opening band Like A Storm did a nice job. I love Staind and I was even more excited to go to this concert knowing I'd get to hear Creed too!

staind is bigger than most. And by bigger i mean humble. They understand it's an honor to SHARE the stage with another great band, and i really don't think they see it as them being an "opening" act. All the fans should take the creed tour as an honor that Creed wanted to share the stage with Staind and not anyone else! They chose staind, because they respect them and felt that it would be a great show. It's not about who's better or worse. Both of these bands are great and will probably make the rock n roll hall of fame, so in my opinion, to be able to see bands of this caliber together is an amazing opportunity, not a downfall for staind.
I will pay to see Staind whether they open for another band or they are headlining. They open for some bands just to get their name and music out to people that may not have heard of them or much of their music before. I'm just thankful that they haven't gotten to the point that they refuse to open for other bands. They are a very humble group of musicians who want to perform for their fans regardless if they are opening or headlining.
i agree.......mostly. how can a "TRUE FAN" dislike ANY of their music. i was there in kc. wish staind headlined 4sure! but dude u been on here ragging on aaron b4. so stfu listen 2 IBAW 1000 more times and fuckin luv it. bleed with staind. cry with staind. truly admire their work. and BECOME a TRUE FAN!
