Just messin' with you bro, but seriously, get off everyone's nuts about digging Aaron's country stuff. One man's trash is the next man's treasure. I think rap is pure garbage; clearly others think it's pure gold. I'm not a country fan, but I've never doubted Aaron's sincerity in his words & music when making his country music.

i wasn't on "everyone's nuts" ... i said it's a fucking terrible song. you don't have to get all butthurt about it. it's just my opinion. don't let your butt-lips get all chafed and chapped about it. don't act like someone put icy-hot on your asshole. i didn't say anything about anyone, i said my opinion of this song.
as for rap music, rap music isn't the same as rock or country. rap music's purpose isn't really the lyrics at all, it's the sound, the flow, the metaphors, the creativeness, and the beats. if you want to say country music isn't about the lyrics either and that it's about feeling like a hick and feeling like your repping your country then go ahead. rep your country by serving in some aspect of our military not making stupid ass fucking songs about how great you are
i just think it's stupid that some people are all over aaron's dick so much that they adapted themselves into liking country music so they can like his solo music. i know for a FACT that the majority of staind fans DON'T like country music yet like aaron's solo shit just because it's aaron. just seems like a little dick-riding is going on, but you can do whatever the fuck you want to do.
i just think this over-patriotic white trash hick stuff is AWFUL.. it's not even creative and it doesn't sound good. it's pure junk music to me and this song fucking blows. Agree...and it's not even 'country' it's 'patriotic' themed...every male in my family has served in the military and 4 in wars and I appreciate the freedoms I get living here but to say the USA is THE only great country is divisive and makes your world very small. I can't relate to this music or message, I love visiting other countries and meeting people of different cultures and backgrounds. I liked the stuff like sleeping at the wheel, angel etc better for a solo cd so for now I'm with Nima I am sticking with staind

Even though I've declared 'Wannabe' garbage & have consistently ranked it as my least favorite song off of the new album since the album dropped... yeahhhhh....
Anyways, like I said, to each his own. Let's not run around in circles over this. I like Aaron's solo stuff, you don't. Aaron's patriotic solo stuff has more sentimental meaning to me since I live only about 10 minutes away from where Aaron grew up - you know - the places he actually specifically mentioned on his Town Line record - been there, could relate to it all. And it's nice to hear some patriotism stemming from a notoriously unpatriotic area of the country (Massachusetts = San Fran-Sicko East).

you put it pretty good... i find myself having to be careful when i talk about this subject because i was born, raised, made in america... i'm proud to be american, i'm very grateful of all my freedoms and anyone who serves for our country. with that being said, being over-patriotic just gets old and annoying in a way. i'm not sure why exactly. i think it maybe goes along with my views of conflict between any countries. i hate it and i think war(s) suck(s). i feel that being over-patriotic is basically like saying "Fuck all the rest" and that's just not how my views are. maybe i'm a hippie and i just don't know it but world peace is important to me.
and also don't get me wrong about my views of mr. aaron lewis. he's my favorite musician of all time. i love everything about what he has done with staind, but i'm just dumbfounded with his whole country act. never in a million years would i have guessed that he would do country music like this? but like i've said before he can do whatever the fuck he wants to do and my opinion doesn't mean jack shit to him.
