The local record store here got my copy of Staind today, so I got to watch the DVD...didn't look like a very fun process, but I'm glad the album turned out like it did.

I'm not going to spoil anything, but I am going to say that I'm thankful that the band has continued to put all of this good music out for us for the past 17 years.

They (along with Seether and Cold, but mostly Staind) are the band that made me want to learn how to play guitar so I could play and sing in a rock band, so they were my main influence 8 years ago to teach myself how to play and write and still are today. I just hope that they continue to work through the differences that they had making this record and any past differences and continue to put out great music like they have from the beginning. I don't not love one song that they've ever put out and I just really want this to continue. They've changed and saved lives and been heroes to many including myself.

I don't really know where I'm going with this, but I do know there's been a lot of speculation that this is the end for Staind and it may be and it just as easily may not be, but I do know that I hope that they continue to do what they've done for their entire careers thus far and put out great music for us all to enjoy.

Rambling over.

ssooooo how was the dvd? what would you rate it out of 10?
It was really enteresting and I love watching in the studio kinda stuff so I'd rate it a 10/10, but, like Aaron said, it's not very flattering and can be kinda hard to watch.

does it explain why jon left

Yes and no...it doesn't go into a lot of detail with it, but it shows that he wasn't feeling it and that he wasn't really getting along with everyone.
so on board with you jacob, i havent seen the dvd and im afraid to watch it. its being delivered so im not sure when it will come.
according to someone, it disclaims the end of staind...i hope the guy was dumb or being a douche :/
They never confirm nor deny

uugghh my pre-order better not be late lol
is it wrong of me to ask if anyone will upload the dvd? I really need to see it but im not going to be able to get it
It'll be up on YouTube or as a downloadable torrent within the next week or so, guaranteed. Obviously no links will be posted here, but I personally haven't seen an uploaded DVD out there [yet]. Then again, I haven't looked because I pre-ordered, and I'm a patient man! =P

Yeah, it's really hard to watch. My copy came a week early (AWESOME), and I've watched it a few times since getting it. The four of them are definitely at each other's throats through the whole process, shredding each other even when they're in separate rooms. Everyone is unhappy and pissed ... and more than a little snooty. Definitely much different than the DVD's for 14SOG and V. Aaron is very engrossed in his country thing now (very cool), yet as a 15 year fan, it's disheartening to see Staind get put on the backburner. He seems as insipred as ever, just in a different way. But what do I know?! :) The guy is one of the best rock  lyricists of the past twenty years.

YET - this DVD is another reason why I had the band logo tatooed onto my arm - they're always HONEST. As rough as the DVD is to watch (especially when they discuss possibly disbanding as a band), it's a very true portrait of where they were at the time.

BTW ... as always, Old School is hilarious.

Homegrown will always be the best Band footage dvd ever! I watched that at least 20 times since I got it years ago!

Also to the guy, how will you not be able to get it man? Support the band, buy it.
