illusion of progress
it seems like this album is probably the weakiest album staind has out there. I think they need to get back to there albums like break the cycle and 14 shades of grey. I am not saying the album is terrible but i have a feeling staind is starting to get of track. Songs like the "corner" and "tangled up in me" are really not what i expected out of staind. Believe was an unreal single it was exactly what i wanted to hear as there first single but it seems like the rest of the album is too out of proportion. they need there harder songs too. Chapter Five had the perfect selection of hard and soft songs but the illusion of progress is just not nearly as close as there other albums. I think they need to start getting back to what they are like the rest of there albums because if they have another album like this it could be pretty bad.

Oh boy here we go again.
I phoned Aaron, he says he's sorry and he's gonna cancel his solo tour and get right back in the studio and redo the album heavier to appease the 5 people that are trapped in the year 2000.

Some people just dont get it, i mean, in my view, (and many others) IOP is great. They have tried something new, it would get boring doing the same old thing day in day out, thats why they have done corner, tangled up in you, etc etc. Its something different, it sows off aarons voice brilliantly, and the diversity of the band. They not only are able to do heavy tracks, but can tone it down, and do a much more mellow track. It may not be what you like, but its what these guys love doing, and, no offence, but most of the people hear love listening to it. I personally love all the albums, the way you can hear progression through aarons life album after album. Staind have moved on from 10 years ago, grown up. Maybe its time you should do the same.
