Believe me as a teenager, yes, under 21, I could drink most of my guy friends under the table. I weighed 85lbs as a senior in high school, and could rock on with the best of them. I was nearly killed at the Metallica And Justice For All show, in SLC, Ut. I was DRUNK, and got seperated from my friends trying to get to the front of GA, I got stuck in a mosh pit and trampled by skinheads who were moshing. I broke 4 ribs, had cuts and bruises, concussion, and lost all feeling on my right side for 2 weeks. Had it not been for my big hair LOL, by which another concert goer pulled me out by my hair, I may not be here today. I am not opposed to letting it all hang out and having a good time. But do it in an appropriate setting, a mellow accoustic tour, is anything but that! Man I just dated myself with that one didn't I?? Getting older sure sux.....
Permalink Reply by MZ-1 on January 14, 2009 at 3:07pm WOW..What a bad deal u got in the pit. I'm sorry. It's Russian Roulette down in GA-U need 18 eyes to see what's coming at u. I took some shots BUT NOTHING LIKE THAT!!! My wife got knocked out in her 1st pit-it was her last one-she waits on the side now..lol
Thanks for agreeing that these Aaron shows are not Staind shows and if a rocker can't sit down, can't stop drinking, or/and can't shut the fuck up-DON'T GO!!!! I feel bad for anyone who shows their ass at the AC shows..

Permalink Reply by Justin Goldman on January 15, 2009 at 11:40am Yes, GA can be dangerous, especially at the bigger shows. We went to Rob Zombie 2yrs ago, and watched a guy get his 2 front teeth knocked out in the pit. He was drunk and stupid and decided to go in with a bunch of BIG tongans. Thank God we were in the balcony and just kickin back enjoying the show. I punched out a 50yr something guy who decided to knock a 17yr old kid around at the 30 Seconds To Mars show 3yrs ago. I warned the guy to knock it off and even though my husband and brother (who happens to look like Aaron Lewis) were behind me, he continued to be an asshole. So I hit him sqaure in the nose and he went down. That is another reason they call me Weapon of Mass Destruction. I may be little, but I take no shit from anyone.....I never saw my husband or brother laugh so hard!

Permalink Reply by Justin Goldman on January 25, 2009 at 1:05pm Wow... someone got their teeth knocked out at a Rob Zomie concert? bizzare! I've seen so many people break their faces, have piercings torn out etc etc I don't really pay much attention anymore, they put themselves in that position. When I jump in the pit I know I run the risk of the same thing happening. I've broken my rib and toe but thought that was quite ammusing, my toe?! haha.
The gigs in the UK used to be pretty brutal, since they allow so much crowd surfing etc... I used to just LOVE getting kicked in the head by New Rock boots! ;) UK people... what's it like over there now?
