I received the latest issue of Rolling Stone in the mail the other day. It was a special issue on the 100 greatest singers of all time with no mention of Aaron Lewis. This is also the same magazine that gave The Illusion of Progress only 2 1/2 stars. Not showing much love to Aaron, who in my mind is the greatest song writer and singer to ever pick up a guitar. I think its time to cancel my subscription. (just had to let that out)

Why would you care what people think of the music you love the most.I mean, they can write whatever they want.they probably don't know what they're writing.I love Staind and they can't change that by writing an article that sucks.
I am not good when it comes to disagreements over Staind. All I have to say is, hands down Staind is one of the best bands alive. The one thing that seperates Staind from all the other "radio bands" is the love they have for their fans. That's why this fan space has close to 4,000 members, and each one buys the albums, values the music, and is apperciated by the artists. Fuck Rolling Stone! There is more to Staind than meets the eye, and never take anything at face value.
They just don't know about good music then.
He is so talented and totally deserved to be in there.
Aaron has an amazing voice.

That's the thing, the list shows they do actually know good music, choosing singers w/some of the best, most long-standing music of many genres ever made. There's just two major problems w/it. 1.) it completely disregarded quite a few genres altogether, like Metal, alt-metal, etc. (Kurt Cobain being the only exception), w/no even REMOTELY new rock (any genre of rock) singers on there at all (again, except for Kurt). 2.) (the even bigger problem), it seemed to go by favorite/best MUSIC (not including the aforementioned genres), rather than the greatest SINGERS, as it was supposed to. I mean, many people (including myself) love Neil Young, but great vocalist??? LMMFAO! And, there are many more similar people on that list. Whereas, I can see many people not caring for Staind MUSIC, particularly if their favorite genres are show tunes, R&B, country, etc. But, they still couldn't deny that Aaron is an amazing SINGER, regardless. I can't stand hardcore country, and even though it truly sadens me that Gretchen Wilson wastes her amazing voice on it, I can not deny she is a phenomenal singer. But, I guess we can't expect people to vote impartially. Like I said, Bruce Springsteen was one of the less than 200 voters, and he made the list lol.
not only should they have put aaron on the list but he shouldve been #1. what the hell were they thinking???
like to see what they would do
fuck them and the judgments that they make! x)
Aaron is popular enough to have his tunes play during American Idol commercials, but he's is nowhere to be found on Rolling Stone? Gotta go with Fabio on this one..
It's been a long time since Rolling Stone had any credibility with regards to music. I've long ago accepted that most people are not going to agree with me on my music preferences, but Aaron does have an amazing voice. He and Maynard James Keenan are my favorite male rock vocalists.
Rolling Stone is retaaaaded. They always flip flop. One minute they're praising a band and the next minute they're disregarding the same exact band. Wasn't Staind on the cover before too?..
