F Rolling Stone
I received the latest issue of Rolling Stone in the mail the other day. It was a special issue on the 100 greatest singers of all time with no mention of Aaron Lewis. This is also the same magazine that gave The Illusion of Progress only 2 1/2 stars. Not showing much love to Aaron, who in my mind is the greatest song writer and singer to ever pick up a guitar. I think its time to cancel my subscription. (just had to let that out)

Have they seen his acoustic tour?? He sings covers better than the originals!!! That makes me sick they dont have him in there at the top. I totaly agree with you!!

Idk how aaron has in my opinion the best voice. live too. he is just extremly talented as a song writer. idk how he is so underrated

Aaron has the most unbelievable voice, I definately agree that the band is underestimated. Forget Rolling Stone, hypocrites. I still have the July 19,2001 issue with Staind on the cover! hypocrites.

Unbelievable! I totally agree. He is the best to pick up a guitar. Of course, He should've made #1. Who can sing better than Aaron? Nobody! And songwriting, He definitely takes that one, too! He is even better, Live and in person.

LOL NICE, Aaron! You know how much we love & respect you! :) That's why this kind of thing bothers us so.
However, I see there are MANY that they didn't put on there that really deserved it way more than many that did. I guess you can't expect them to remember all the best from all genres. It looks like the "Boss" didn't forget to put himself on that list though lol. Yet, the likes of Ann Wilson, Barbra Striesand, Gretchen Wilson, Aaron, Brad Delp, Billy Joel (just to name a few), way too many great metal singers for me to mention, and all even remotely new rock/metal/alternative singers (w/the exception of Kurt Cobain lol) that are by FAR better singers than most that made it on there, were left off of the list. So, Aaron's in great company on OR off that list. ;)
And, Staind's and Aaron's continued neglect & under-estimation by those-that-be may actually be part of the reason Staind has the staying power that many who get acclaim do NOT (nor ever will) have. That, and amog other things, the fact that they're the best, of course. ;) And, those of us that know true talent will keep supporting them and help them to get more people to appreciate their talent. So, like THE man said, what they think really doesn't matter.
Eh, I'm obviously over-tired, since I always get way too wordy when I'm over-tired lol.

well from my point of view, Staind's one of the few bands out in the world that doesn't play the corporal game and doesn't give a fuk about the 'musical trend' and sure doesn't give a rat's ass about the "critics" . they just make their own music :):) a truly unique band ;D and they don't have those stuck-up attitude like alot of the "famous musicians"
so i'd be surprised if they're actually on the chart.. it's like the book my friends got, 1000 must listen music..etc staind wasn't in it, but heaps gaint talentless bag of piss bands are in it. There is always a price to pay for being unique/great i guess...
And also you have to take in account that alot of people don't feel the music. i remember countless threads whenever staind release a new album, they'd bitch and moan about how staind's style is changing and they want the old style back..etc Those people would love bands like nickleback , same music over n over and even have identical songs with different lyrics.
so wotever, Staind is a great band, Aaron Lewis' vocal is unbeatable.. fuk those critics
YOU GUYS ARE ALWAYS NO.1 ON MY CHART!!!
(ps: Critics are always seem to be retarded and narrow minded these days, like movie critics these days, if there is a comedy out, they'll say it's not serious enough, if there is a action movie out, they'll say it doesn't have enough content... a true critic should tackle a piece from all perspective , instead of judging it by their own preference;art takes a free-form, at least the non-money driven ones :) )

Totally agree with you Michael!
Saw Staind in Dublin with Nickelback. I've never been a Nickelback fan, but I've listened to some of their songs a few times, but not any more! It was like they played one song that lasted for a couple of hours, no variation! Staind has an incredible specter of songs that few, maybe none bands can match! I can't believe that it is possible to be able to play everything from the hardest of the hard to soft and acoustic. I think the spectators in Dublin that hadn't heard Staind before got pretty stunned when they went from playing bad ass songs like "Just Go" to a acoustic version of "Epiphany"! You gotta love it!

I agree with both of you.....
ppl r gonna think what they want and some have a HUGE ego and they take for granted the TRUE talents of others and underestimate them cause they're just jelous that others have wayyyyy more talent so they left out some of the best singers off there (like Aaron)... they need to let us fans pick who makes the list, and if they did, I sure as hell missed it!! grrrrr!! Ok enough rantings from this "up way 2 damn early, still tired and can't get back to sleep rocker chick"... my opinion is probally gonna be hated or jaded by some, but I'm just stating how I feel about all this...so take it or leave it... hate me, ridicule me, whatever... but every one's entitled to their own opinions.
