Do you think the next album will be a little heavier?

I was just thinking the other day that Aaron mentioned that TIOP was originally supposed to be a heavier album, but later became what it is. Don't get me wrong, I like Illusion...but I crave more of an edge on some of the songs too. I am not hoping everything is screaming and angry, but a good heavy sound for some of the album would be nice too. I also can't help but notice they are playing a lot of dysfunction songs as well as a few other heavier songs in concert. I assume this is because a lot of the newer songs, while good, don't really move a crowd.

I was just wondering do you think that Staind will get heavy again for the next album? What are some of the boards thoughts?

I second that amen. If we have another album like Tormented, sweet. If we have an all soft song album, sweet. I'm a Staind fan forever and always, and will support them, no matter what may be on the album!

I think Staind's next album should..... uhhh... I don't know... reflect who they are and where they are in their lives at that moment in time? There's a novel idea. It's a good thing I don't need to tell them that though, considering Aaron has stated this for years upon years. I don't want a heavier and darker album if it's a charade.
i would first want them to release a god dang live album lol as a group....from dysfunction to the illusion...maybe do it on the next tour put the different songs and then make a 3 or 2 disc live album kinda like what incubus does....as for the next album i would want it a lil heavier i always tend to find atleast 3 songs to work out too but i would also like something that singing live wont kill them either lol....a mix of chapter v and break the cycle to me would be great and maybe add a few shades of grey...but as stated in all these posts ill support and love the new cd regardless...personally i cant wait for them to go on tour rather then the cd haha
to answer the question in the thread title- NO
I can't believe this thread started back up again. I kinda think it is funny how pissed some people get when you ask if it will be a heavy album or not. I love all of their stuff. I was just asking a simple question....I am still going to buy the next album the day it comes out, just like i have bought them all.
