was just wondering how the song came about. was it a spur of the moment thing? or planned? its a hidden song and just aaron(i believe). beautiful song. would love some info on it! thnx 2 n e 1 that can help!

The song was planned to the best of my knowledge. It was recorded by the steps in Fred's basement, Aaron said he was wearing boots and the loud thunks you hear before the song are him walking down the stairs.

there use to be a video on youtube where he talked about this song, can't find it. You can hear him pouring a drink before the song starts. And he was suppose to play this song on the Family Values tour cd, but at the last minute changed his mind and decided to play Outside.

those noises are him opening a bottle of wine im pretty sure...and yes there was a youtube vid or something like that of him telling the story.. Aaron say's he doesn't drink.. So i might be wrong about the wine.... But im pretty sure im right... lol

see i heard somewhere that it was recorded by accident, he walked through a door at the top of the starirwell to the recording studio, sat at the top and sung a song, and a mic was on below him and it was completely by accident that it was recorded, i cant remember the full story, nor do i know how true it is, but one thing is for sure...the guy is a legend, an inspiration to many, and one day, i hope to meet him and say a big thankyou!
