Caught the show last night 7/29 in Billings Mt. Missed Lo-Pro and Halestorm, was outside, heard the clincher start off, time to head in. Got in at the end of Vitamin R, beginning of Jars. Chevelle just tore the place down. The crowd which the floor was full, first deck of the stands were sold, some on the second level. Not a bad turnout for a Wednesday, was just loving Chevelle, and the guys could feel it. Saw some reviews saying Chevelle doesn't interact with the crowd, we got a couple different things, when they walked out said best crowd on the tour. I don't know if that is BS or not. Saw Pantera 7 times in 5 different states and they said it everytime so who knows, makes you feel good. The other new song they play is incredible. Complete rocker. Songs I heard for sure from Chevelle:
The Clincer
Vitamin R
Jars
Send the Pain Below
Comfortable Liar
Red
New Song
I Get It
Would have loved the Fad, Antisaint, Well Enough Alone...
Out comes Shinedown, third time seeing them, great show, sounded great with one guitarist, the guys tear it up. Call me is just piano and vocals. Wanted to hear cry for help or sin with a grin. Shinedown had the crowd going. Wonder what the next single will be?
Setlist:
Sound of Madness
Save Me
45
Heroes
Fly from the Inside
If you only knew
Call Me
Cyanide
Second Chance
Devour
Here comes Staind, so excited, fourth time seeing them, first time since Dec 2004. Star Spangled Banner hits, they go into Raw, everything is great. Sounding good, Mike is going off, all is well. Hit, This is it, Falling, then they stop. Aaron is walking around talking to the band, they go behind the drums. I am waiting for So Far Away, this is the time of the show. Announce this is Right Here, then play All I want. I am thinking they are just mixing things up, great. Next song, Everything Changes. Something isn't right, they stop again, play another song, I missed what it was, and can't remember right now, then play Pardon Me, still sound alright, Aaron isn't looking real good, white and pale. Stop again go behind the drum kit, play King of All Excuses, For You, and Aaron says Billings, hope you are feeling good, I'm not, sorry. They leave. Come back out Mudshuvel. 11 songs. Glad we got that. Still a great show. Chevelle and Shinedown were worth admission. Staind was still great. Go check it out, hope you are feeling better Aaron.
