Am I in the same place?
This isn't stemming from any one certain incident, nor is it directed towards any one person. It's just something I've been thinkin' about for a while, I've kinda been waiting to see if someone else would say it... but so far no one really has, but maybe I'm the crazy one?
When I first signed up for this fanclub, right before the Chapter V board was up, I was amazed at how friendly and supportive everyone was towards each other. I met a ton of people who were quick to offer help or answer questions, many of which I've even wound up meeting in person. It USED to be a great feeling to be around so many other people that shared such a personal common interest... but lately things have been changing.
I've been noticing shit around here going sideways and it's really left a bad taste in my mouth about this place. You know I'm sorry but, I've got to be honest with all of you... I just can't be around it anymore. Everyone's so consumed with who's cooler than who, who knows the more about the band and all types of petty, superficial bullshit. I'm sick of the condescending know-it-alls and all their bogus-ass followers. I'm tired of having to watch what and who I say something to because I don't know what "clique" that person's a part of and who they do or don't like. To be perfectly honest with you, I think it's pretty pathetic that a bunch of grown-ups break up into groups and gossip about this person or that person... half the time whom they've never even met in person!
I love this band with everything I have, and the FEW people I've met through this fanclub who have remained true throughout all of the bullshit that's been tossed around this place. Many of you were so nice to me... some I had the chance to have dinner with, others were kind enough to open their homes to me and let me spend the night. This obviously doesn't apply to you, I love you guys and appreciate our friendship. I just think I'm gonna lay low for a while, like I have been... because I just don't want to be a part of what's goin' on around here. If you actually took the time to look further into these guys (the band) than the surface, you'd realize that they're very down-to-earth and probably wouldn't give any of you the time of day if they knew half of what goes on around here. As I said I absolutely love this band and all of the true people I've met, I certainly don't mean any disrespect to the band or to anyone I haven't yet had the chance to meet. I'll still stop by and check in once in a while, but I just need to step back from the group for a while. Not that my opinion really matters, but I just thought that needed to be said. It's not about getting the most pictures or having the most autographs... for me it's about the music and those 4 guys. Afterall, that's what brought us all here in the first place... isn't it?

I am not a big member of the site, just keeping checking tour dates hoping they will come close to KC again so I can see them. I have been a true fan since the begining, but I wouldn't say I know everything about them or think that it is even a big deal if a know every about them. I have seen them 5-6 times. I love Aaron Lewis and think he is so inspirational and I just love the words in his songs and think they have so much meaning. I have know idea what gossip or anything you are talking about. But the last two paragraphs or so in this note are awesome. Tell it like it is. I never even knew there where people who get so obsessed about a band enough to fight about who knows more or has the most auto graphs. That is definetely not what a true fan is. But like I said I don't read the blogs and everything so I have know Idea what you are talking about. But just thought I would comment. I too feel bad if this stuff is going on on this site. Staind definetly deserves better than petty bull shit.

I'm a long time fan as well.I agree with you 100%!I'm a true fan and love all their music.Aaron Lewis is just an awesome person and his music and words I can't explain.I can say his music has saved me and inspired me in ways no other band has.I joined the site because I've been a fan from the start and wanted to stay up to date with all their concerts and what the band is up to and maybe meet some other fans and talk about Staind.I don't claim to know everything about them or even know them on a personal level.Just from seeing them play live and a few times I was fortunate enough to meet them and tell them what an inspiration they are and how they have effected my life.It's not about the most autographs,the most merchandise,the most meet and greets.It's the music and what this band has done for all us fans.This band gives the fans all they have on stage and in the studio and this is what we give them in return ? Fighting over who has more or who's the biggest fan ? I don't think they deserve this type of bull shit.These guys don't have to sign an autograph,have a meet and greet or play as long as they do,but they do it out of love for music and the fans.Without the fans they would be lost and without Staind I'd be lost.We are all here for Staind or at least I am and I know a few others are as well.Why can't we all just be cool and share our appreciation for them without all the fighting and bashing of other members.Bill your right these are some really nice,down to earth guys.I don't think they would appreciate all the garbage that's been going either.It's a damn shame all this is happening.

And the only person i feel has the complete right to brag and PWNS everyone else in this forum or any other staind forum is OTAN and we all know why! :) And he never talks trash! So look on that as being the brightside, not everyone is a douche.. :)

i dnt come on here everyday.. but i need to examples of how this site is bad.. Or what have people done? I don't really notice.. I notice some normal douches who have always been around, but thats about it

News and information about the band is awesome, it's the petty bullshit that everyone BRINGS to this site that I'm fed up about... like I said this isn't directed toward any certain instance. Take a look around at some of the posts, you'll see what I'm talking about bro. Maybe that's your problem. Everybody vents on people, but never mentions names. Who was your blog intended for? Someone pissed u off-WHO? Ya never know-Things may change if u confront the people who make it shitty here. U had the balls to confront me-why don't u confront them?
I wrote what I wrote because I got trashed and blocked immediately after I tried to clear up the beef, so I only had 1 way to rebuttal and it was here. I have had 2 beefs on this board in a year? One with Nima who everybody fights with and now this Deandra chic so I'm obviously not an habitual fire starter.

Second, I couldn't care less why you have a "beef" with her and whether its justified or not... if you have a beef with anyone over the net, you're a tool. All I said was don't act like you're against that type of shit and then go right ahead and do exactly what you just claimed to have disliked.
I thought it was pretty obvious, ya know being that it was the opening line of the blog and all, that this wasn't directed towards one single person.
