what are you freaking out about? sorry if i cussed, sheesh. i didnt think you would get so mad about it. do you not watch rated R movies? do you not listen to music that cusses at all? quit trying to start "internet fights" or some crap. worry about yourself. dont worry about me. ignore me. stop quoting me. stop talking to me. stop talking about me. stop freaking out at me. ignore me.

thank you.

Justin Goldman said: Dude..I curse like a Mutha!, But saying fuck or shit is one thing, but to say we all suck Aarons D%*K is beyond cursing-it's really freaking offensive dude!!!! Can u agree with me on something???? This really should have ended days ago! BTW-Heard u deleted a comment when I was gone..I'm 31.

ha what?!? what did i say wrong? i just said i agree with the other guy. so?? riiiiight.

but back on topic.. who would've thought that a band like staind in the tormented days would eventually go on to have a song playing on an american idol commercial? pretty crazy to think about it. shows how much the band has changed musically (which is not necessarily a bad thing at all)
but, yeah i caught it when i was watching some playoffs with my friends. i won't deny i was quite embarrassed because staind comes off as such a pussy band to people who don't listen to all their stuff, rather they just listen to the singles and make judgments. it's like their shooting theirself in the foot to would-be fans. IMO

gotta do what you gotta do to make money though, and gain exposure (as though they don't have any tho...). but i'll stand by and defend them to people who don't know the whole picture and talent level of staind. rock on

Nima..We all respect your opinion, but don't blame the other dude-U used the same language and offended the same people. Pleading not guilty is stupid since we all read what u said. A real man would say "I'm sorry if I was out of line But etc etc". Only children pont fingers. Anyway, This topic needs to die..like it or not, the fuckin song being used and U/we can't do a fuckin thing about it!. Now let's a get a Staind related topic going. It's your daddys job to teach u respect and honesty, not ours dude...NOW ENOUGH!

That was a real "Stand Up" thing to say man. We're cool!!!
I find it funny how everyone on the internet finds a way to somehow instantly become a philosopher and have all of the wisdom on earth. I understand that when you are older you feel as though you know everything in the world, and certainly I can tell you that you think that you know everything and that you must show it, but unfortunately you don't know everything so trying to be the professor to me is pretty pathetic. You can't tell me that my opinion is wrong, because it is an opinion. I will always think the way that I do and nothing that you say can change that. So with that being said, here is my point, a staind song on American Idol is a travesty. Just typing that sentence alone hurts my fingers. Just a couple of years ago we would have never even had to talk about this. I don't really understand what happened, but it is what it is now. All that I can hope for is that this doesn't continue and that they actually put out their best music and not what they think everyone wants to hear. For whoever said that I used the word gay in the wrong way, it doesn't really matter. Gay means happy, homosexual, and for us younger people, something that is stupid. Not all gay people are happy, or stupid, or actually gay, but something gay could mean any one of those things. You are also not a professor and your argument is pretty lame. (just my opinion) Onto the masses point, I said that I don't follow the masses. Let me clarify what that means, it means that I don't like crappy pop or punk bands that make one or two catchy songs. They usually don't have any real talent, but set a trend and get a lot of fans. I don't consider myself being fake to myself as you said, (somehow you know me?) I consider myself to be more knowledgeable than others and realize who are actually good and worth my time and money for a cd and who isn't. So, I guess I will be the outcast of this site, it doesn't really bother me, because I like staind just as much as you guys do, I guess my opinions are just different than all of yours.

You say that I shouldn't care about what people say or think about my favorite band. Well, I do care and I care a lot about what other people think. I already know that they are awesome, but when I try to explain it to other people, they just say, well don't they make pop music now? If they don't have their cd, what am I supposed to say to that? I don't think there is anything to say .

That Staind are who they are, being multi-faceted, which is an awesome thing! And, to buy (or listen to YOUR) CD(s) to hear the other Staind flavors. ;)

One more thing, I am not a fucking sheep. I don't follow the herd. I don't like what the masses like for a reason, because it sucks.

I'll reiterate part of what I already said:

"Trying to appear (or FEEL) hard-core by intentionally not liking something just because the masses do, is just as bad (or WORSE) than JUST liking what the masses do. Either way, YOU are not being true to YOU, caring more about what others think/how they see you than being true to yourself."

And, ALL that the masses like does not suck. C'mon, any even semi-unbiased/open-minded person can find something decent in ANY genre, whether it appeals to the masses or not! Not liking something just because others do is worse than liking something because others do...it's more hypocritical.
not against gaining more staind fans.
not against being more popular.
all against sounding pop to do so...
it is a soda pop love song...
shit happens.
you're either going to embrace it or cringe.
it is what it is.

I agree
agreed with the dan man
& spidermonkey.

you have your opinions.
i have my opinions.
he has his opinions.

he loves staind regardless,
so let's just stop this nonsense(:
I dont want to get involved with all this "sell out" business. But I do not know how I feel about Staind and American Idol. I love that their talent is finally being displayed the way it should, but I also hate "fans" that don't know the real Staind.

They believe that since they bought 5 Staind songs on iTunes, they love Staind and are diehard fans.
The songs they would buy are Its Been Awhile, Believe, Outside, Right Here, and All I want.
Staind-lite fans...ha, ha, ha!!
