Aaron really needs to lose the guitar on the live show

Anyone agree? it takes away from the live show SO much. all he does is just stand there now like a statue. if it wasn't for mike, it would be so fucking boring watching them live.

I miss the old days when he would actually put all his concentration on singing, walk around the stage, bend over, etc. etc.

The thing is that it's not even necessary for him to be playing the guitar. I mean it would be cool on a couple of songs, but not the whole fucking show! it's just waaaay too fucking boring.

LOSE THE GUITAR AARON, WE ALL KNOW YOU CAN PLAY IT, BUT WOULD RATHER WATCH YOU ACTUALLY PERFORM A LIVE SHOW, NOT SIT IN A CHAIR LIKE YOU DO IN THE STUDIO.

im sorry your unhappy. everything changes, what can i say. you miss seeing aaron BEND OVER? lol, sorry i couldent help crack a joke. i think he may feel to jump around onstage is contrived unless he really feels it. in other words there is a big difference between thinking "ok im gonna bust out with this freaky headbanging" and "oh,i better move around or else it will look boring up here". i cannot speak totally for him. i will speak for myself- i started playing bars in 1983. yes i used to jumps, kicks, spins. in 1988 i jumped down a dumbwaiter shaft at the restaraunt i was working at. i hurt my back. i have mechanical misalignment. its gotten worse over the years. i cannot stand up for long. my back stings waiting in line at wall mart. i cannot go to a concert unless i have a seat. i spend the 2 hours before the show sitting as much as possible so i can stand up the whole gig. if u see me sidestage watching a band, im usually sitting on my ass. i will be 44 years old in march. they dont call me oldschool for nothin... so, during the 28 years ive been gigging, things have toned down. sometimes i wish i could do as my old mentors (van halen) onstage. but i cant. i would rather stay still and play more accuratly, than to jump around and make more mistakes. i dig the music. i nod my head to keep time. whenever i can ,i gaze at the audience, i make eye contact. i wink at girls, i nod at cool dudes. i let people know i se them. to me, most musicians seem to never look at the crowd. they seem scared of them. ever notice that? they look right over everyones heads to the back of the crowd. they are chickenshits. they are insecure. if u have too look at your fretboard the whole song, you are not of the caliber to be up there anyways lol. ok, thats enough babble. i just came in to maybe defend one of my best friends. i think it was cool of you to post your message. i love friction. it keeps things rolling. johnny a.

i like it best when hes playing acoustic instead of electric, but staind is staind thats all there is to it..it doesnt take away from anything. rock on staind
Wow now this is why I really need to spend more time on Staind.com like my addicted hubby. I'm confused.. I thought them playing their instruments/ singing was the entertainment? I have NEVER been to a Staind show and been bored. It's the music that makes you feel like jumping up and down and having a good time. They have never disappointed.
WELL HERES THE THING......STAIND IS SO KICK ASS THAT AARON DOESNT "HAVE" TO RUN AROUND....HE COULD JUST STAND THERE AND EVERYBODY FUCKING LOVES IT....FUCK 'EM AARON~ KEEP THAT GUITAR N U TELL JOHHNY APRIL WATCH OUT CUZ IM LEARIN 2 PLAY BASS ;)
I've been lucky enough to have seen Staind 3 times (I'm going to see Aaron solo next week!!!). There show is definitely the best I've ever seen...and I've been to quite a few big shows. Aaron playing guitar does not take away from the experience at all, in fact I think it adds to it. You can still see him getting emotionally into the song...just look at his eyes, they tell the whole story.
I actually agree. I liked it better when aaron walked around. Deff Showed more emotion in the songs. People on the side got to enjoy him when he would walk over for a part of a song. But also this is just me missing the old days.

Things do change. O well. I guess only mudshovel without a guitar will have to do LOL!!

And thats cool the band members post on here! :)
