Aaron really needs to lose the guitar on the live show

Anyone agree? it takes away from the live show SO much. all he does is just stand there now like a statue. if it wasn't for mike, it would be so fucking boring watching them live.

I miss the old days when he would actually put all his concentration on singing, walk around the stage, bend over, etc. etc.

The thing is that it's not even necessary for him to be playing the guitar. I mean it would be cool on a couple of songs, but not the whole fucking show! it's just waaaay too fucking boring.

LOSE THE GUITAR AARON, WE ALL KNOW YOU CAN PLAY IT, BUT WOULD RATHER WATCH YOU ACTUALLY PERFORM A LIVE SHOW, NOT SIT IN A CHAIR LIKE YOU DO IN THE STUDIO.

Ive seen him perform, sitting, standing, with guitar, without, and at the end of the day, Aaron Lewis' posture during the show doesnt make me want to rock out, his music does. He can do whatever he wants and Im still gonna get jacked up, however in your defense, when I saw him perform mudshovel (of course he woudlnt sit during this song) and how he just screamed into the mic and dropped it and walked off the stage, that shit was amazing.
I have never seen Aaron running around on stage.... Maybe running off when he is done, Even at that i wouldn't call it running maybe walking fast..lol.... But I must say that I love Leandra's comment we would all love that...lol....
I've seen Staind just once but also seen Aaron perform solo. Both times were amazing for me. I just saw the whole band in December and honestly, I loved the crazy lights because I was able to take awesome pics, but I would listen to the band in the dark in a venue if that's what it took. Not only do I love the messages in the songs and how they relate to my life, but I happen to think Aaron has one of the best voices in the rock industry :).

I agree that hearing/seeing them live was even better after listening to the CDs all these years. I was so excited and felt things so much more.

I've only been lucky enough to see Staind perform live once, and I thought it was amazing. I love listening to the CDs and all, but hearing the songs live took it all to an entirely different level for me. Sure, they could probably do a fancy lightshow, or choregraphed dance routines, or whatever else to make a "show", but when I left that concert, I felt their music in my heart and my soul. I remember the emotion in the songs and can still hear it when I pop in a CD, nearly a year and a half later. My attention was glued to that stage, and it didn't take some outlandish performing techniques for them to capture it. Granted we all have our preferences, but for this fan, I don't care what they do onstage, as long as they still touch my soul with their music.

Love,

ha, no you didn't "run around on stage." BUUUUT, you did get people to go nuts in a way. probably my favorite recorded concert i've seen is HBO reverb.

during spleen.. you're like "ALRIGHT, YOU GUYS BETTER TEAR IT UP ON THIS ONE!" and just got the crowd so pumped it seemed. I guess you can't do all that with the new material.. maybe paper jesus (which was so badass to see live because of the flashing lights).

When are you guys gonna play The Corner live?? i pretty much just get lost when i listen to that song, love it.

im a bit confused by this.....did i ever run around the stage and get people to go nuts?

Whatever! We all know Aaron should seductively take his shirt off on stage!! And he should probably get a dance choriographer.

Okay, I'm not going to lie and say that I wouldn't be completely riveted if he did this (although the choreographer might be a bit much...), but then I still harbor the not-so-secret wish that he'd father my children. But then again, if he did, I don't think I'd be able to focus on much of anything for a few months. :)

lol...i don't think he wants to show his man boobs

and the corner live would be nice!

No Aaron you never ran around the stage. However you do get the fans pumped with your stage antics like "Are you fuckin ready", "I can't fuckin hear you" and the famous "Sing this for me". God I miss Staind damn it is it summer yet? haha!

I wonder if we fully appreciate how fortunate we are that Aaron Lewis has meaningful conversations with his fans on this site? His music and his performance is above all honest. It's all part of what brought us to this music, to this place. Few performers can claim this, so let it be and enjoy.
wow...this thread is truly ever-nending....
That's great! (Laughing)

I have seen them four times including twice this year and every time he has never stood still the whole concert Yeah he had some songs where he was on guitar but it was like half and half. On a couple of songs he does like when he does epiphany and stuff but that is a music song not a performing song. But like on Mudshovel and the harder stuff he rocked out and like got in the crowds face screaming and banging. maybe they just had an off show with you.
