Aaron really needs to lose the guitar on the live show

Anyone agree? it takes away from the live show SO much. all he does is just stand there now like a statue. if it wasn't for mike, it would be so fucking boring watching them live.

I miss the old days when he would actually put all his concentration on singing, walk around the stage, bend over, etc. etc.

The thing is that it's not even necessary for him to be playing the guitar. I mean it would be cool on a couple of songs, but not the whole fucking show! it's just waaaay too fucking boring.

LOSE THE GUITAR AARON, WE ALL KNOW YOU CAN PLAY IT, BUT WOULD RATHER WATCH YOU ACTUALLY PERFORM A LIVE SHOW, NOT SIT IN A CHAIR LIKE YOU DO IN THE STUDIO.

If you want an example of what I'm talking about, youtube "staind on hbo reverb" and watch those... then watch something new and you'll see how lame it is compared to that
i actually have to disagree. the shows i have been to he walks around, bends over, all the things you are talking about. but i think singing with the eyes closed and playing the guitar is a great performance. the emotion pours. i could watch that shit for hours. have you ever thought what is like on the road and doing shows every single day?! that shit sure would get to me...i wouldn't even have the heart to finish a damn tour. we all have our opinions here, thats what this place is for. do i think the band is in same position they were back in the 'old' days from things like tormented to break the cycle...no. neither am i. the band has grown as well as myself who has been listening to them back in those 'old' days and i'm still their number one fan. aaron could sit there with a guitar...run around the stage...either way i don't care. i'm there for the music, the words, and the voice which is what touches me most....not whether its coming from a live or animated statue.
I enjoy aaron playing the guitar. I don't think it takes away from anything.
i actually do know what you mean. i hadn't pinpointed the difference. i thought it was just the song selection, but your right...he's less animated. i'm still going to every gig...love them.
have you ever thought what it is like to make millions for singing? lol... sooo i don't buy that "playing every night" shit. you would have to be a crazyass to say you wouldn't want to make millions for singing every night. hard job my ass.

and i totally disagree that there is more emotion when he's just sitting there with his eyes closed. that's actually one of the things i hate about it. it's sooo emotionless and just going through the motions. when he's up and about showing some sort of body language at least, it gives it a LOT more emotion.

dont get me wrong, i love staind and aaron... but the live shows just suck lately because they're so boring and bland and not entertaining. when i took my friend with me to a recent show i was almost embarrassed at how boring they are to watch. (besides mike of course).

actually it goes back to the saying 'money isn't everything' so yes i could say for millions of dollars i wouldn't live on a bus for 6 months, in and out of hotel rooms, away from the family, etc. but anyway....like i said before the band has grown...as you can tell aaron is not the same 'angry' person is was 12 yrs ago.. jmo.

I will behave....I will behave......I will behave! On the road.......being away from home and his family.......getting older and wiser......physically demanding, back problems, wrist problems....Hey Jon, drumming must be a real joy on the body over the years, huh?.......dealing with people even when in a shitty mood, like we all get at times.....playing the old, but awesome material, over & over & over......4 men spending alot of time together who are friends, of course, but shit they gotta get on each other's nerves at times ; ).....Forget the $ Do you think you could handle it? Now, I'm tormented! They couldn't pay me enough to do what they do. Seriously! I'll be 40 in January. Ewwww! Mike, how's the back? OUCH! Just like mine?.....Hi Johnny. ; ) Hell, I don't even perform and I'm falling apart. Time to lay down and veg.

Hugs~ for Aaron & Vanessa and the girls! Bless you all! PEACE~

You know what I hate most? People who talk about shit they know nothing about... which you obviously don't. Don't open your mouth about things when you're clueless.
I know plenty of bands and plenty of band members, and have spent enough time on busses to know that touring is physically, mentally and emotionally DRAINING. I have seen friendships, marriages, relationships etc torn apart by band members being stuck on a bus together... driving and driving. Do you think you could go rock out at a show every night without singing for months on end and not be completely exhausted? no you couldn't. Do you know what singing every night can do to your voice? and putting on a show, what it can do to your body? obviously not!! "soooo"... I have no problem telling you to shut your pie hole.

Yeah this is a place for opinions, but there's a way to state your opinions and you're coming across like a moron just whining, I can't stand whiners!! If you don't like the shows and you're "embarrassed" then stop complaining about it... it's not going to change a damn thing, sod off and watch another band that will entertain you.

nobody makes them go up there and perform... so idk. u could say that no1 makes me watch them perform live. i'm just saying it's boring to watch someone just sit there at a live show, rather than have them walk around.

the taxing that touring has on a person shouldn't change whether they stand there and play guitar and dont do anything rather than walk around. not correlated at all. sooo...

If that's how you feel then... quit complaining and never go see them live again if you don't like it? simple!
Next time you meet Aaron....tell him
how much you think his perfomance is so fucking boring lately.
I dare you. Let's us know how it went, k?

....but, unlike you....he'd still be a gentleman.
He would just have the gift of his words (as he does),
to show an ass like you, your place.
Stay home.
