Have you ever had a friend that you lose touch with from high school. Not a real close friend but someone you hung out with during school and once in a while after school.

I had a friend named Aaron Lewis in high school. We were both musicians and sung at school and did chorus shows together at school. He was a bit of a loner but real nice and I never had any problems with him and whenever I thought about him it gave me good vibes because I went through a lot of the same crap as he and I know I made it out o.k.

Then this band, StainD, becomes popular and I hear about a singer named Aaron Lewis. I thought he couldn't be the one that I sang in chorus with and never gave it a second thought because what I thought my friend, Aaron Lewis from high school, could never become Aaron Lewis the singer of StainD.

Ten years of hearing the songs on the radio seeing videos and so forth I never put two and two together, he did have hair. For some reason I did last night.

My friend Aaron Lewis from Longmeadow is actually Aaron Lewis from StainD. How for ten F***ing years did I not know that. I just would never believe that my friend would blossom into the star he is today. I guess I owe Aaron an apology.

Now I have new respect for StainD as I know where he came from and the lyrics will mean so much more for me. Now I can't tell my fiancee to change the station because I have heard that StainD song WAY TOO MUCH. Sorry but true.

Anyways, Aaron, I know you probably won't read this but if you do...

Remember Going to California in Longmeadow about 20 years ago... guess who has that on tape...

Gotta find it and when I do I will somehow get it to you... I will contact Seth or someone...

PEACE my man

Wow! FYI Aaron played at Longmeadow high back on November 4th 2006 and Henri joined him to play Going California. Aaron does come around on here to read and answer stuff so I'm sure he will see it.
awesome friggin story keith! and lisa's right......i'm pretty sure too, that he'll aventually get this. :)
wow, that is a cool fuckin story.

That is the Aaron Lewis that I know... he does look a lot different than the one that everyone knows. The way it actually dawned on me is that I watched some stupid video with Pauli Shore and saw the singer Aaron Lewis talk and act without a microphone in his face and I recognized the movements. You know people by the way they walk down the streets even from behind and I knew Aaron just from his movements without a microphone.

If you don't want to believe it, which I could understand, because ten years is a long time, you don't have to. I know what I know and you can believe what you want to believe.
i'm sure he'll appreciate you posting his high school pic! (i, personally, never want to see mine again...the 80's...big hair n'all)
but you, aaron, you look like you got a little james dean rebel thing going on. once a rocker, always a rocker....
If you go to my website you can see Aaron's school photo's and a video of him getting his diploma.

I know I gotta be a cheeseball and plug my site every chance I get. haha!
Wow that's amazing...
Yea dude, Hopefully Aaron will come across this post and "re-recognize" you too.
That's freakin awesome! I can hear him now laughing thinking Damn!
sometimesI think people from high school became famous but it turns out it's not them. I think if someone I knew became famous i would freak out.
