yea random, hehe yea I read your profile. well I used to like there music but for some reason I got tired of it. I pretty much only lisen to given up, what ive done and no more sorrow from there new cd. didnt really like the last cd.
i like them...i hear they aren't so good live?
they're new album was no doubt different. but it still had a good (linkin park) sound to it. LoL
i guess cause i'm a die-hard LP fan, i cant really say anything bad or critical about them. they're just amazing to me in every way.

and as far as them performing live..they actually do sound good. they may change a note here and there, but what performer doesnt, you know? they are really close to sounding like their albums when performing live. (not like let's say katy perry who sounds really bad live. LoL. no offense to her) and what i like about LP's performances is that you can tell that they just want their audience to have the time of their life. and at the same time, they are too.

i've only seen them live twice (and am looking foward to more live performances). and of course i've seen web casts and dvds and such. but i would definately recommend that you see them live. it'll be fun.
and thanks for your opinions so far!

You know what I do agree LP does sound good live. I was a die hard fan of them too and then I don't know what happened it just became all about Staind!!! I do still enjoy LP but if there's a staind concert and an LP and I only have money for 1 it's gotta be Staind. They both sound really good in person but I just love Aarons voice. And as the yrs went on I could just relate more to Stainds songs than LP's I guess. idk... ROCK ON
Are you KIDDING me?... about the David Draiman thing I mean, he sounds fantastic live! He sounds almost the same as on their albums, and I think he has way more difficult vocals to do than Chester. You're entitled to your opinion but wow that shocked me, the only time i've ever heard David slightly off was Download Festival 02 when something fucked up for the first couple of songs and he couldn't hear shit.

But no, I don't really like Linkin Park... I used to, but now i'm kind of indifferent.

I think LP the band sounds great ,chester on the other hand does not sound the same live, just my opinon! the same goes for david from disturbed they both struggle with vocals live!
I'm in the LPU (user name: Jdanek630) and have been a member since LPU3. I've followed LP since their early beginnings in early '99 during their Hybrid Theory days (HT as the name of the band, not the album). They are a fantastic band and one of the most unique bands to be spawned in my generation's music history... I know that's a rather large statement to make, but think about it... they really are the only SERIOUS rap/rock group that mastered the sub-genre and continues to evolve with seamless effort. I've been a fan of EVERYTHING they've done, from beginning to the very most recent material they've put out there.

I've seen them live five times... and they are absolutely incredible live. They know how to get the pits goin' and they know how to have a good time. Chester can sometimes be off, but even when he's off, he still sounds incredible. The guy has such a range in terms of harmonic singing to metal screaming. He's very much like Aaron in that regard. Disturbed is a great live band too, and I've never heard a bad performance from David... but I have to admit, he does NOT have much range whatsoever in terms of his vocals... which is fine, but I'm just saying, he can afford to have off days because most of what he doesn't get diversified too much. That's my take on it anyway.
I love them. Chester can sing his ass off, not to mention they can write some good songs.
i've only been in LPU for a lil over a year now. i've always wanted to join, but parents weren't comfortable with it. LoL. so yeah after i turned 18 then my dad finally said yeah. ahahah.. btw (linkinladie328)
and i agree. they have a unique sound. i hear the differences in each album. but it's just amazing cause at least their sound changes a lil and not every song sounds the same. so it's good stuff.

as for chester..i can agree that he sounds a lil weird when performing live. for example "leave out all the rest" sounds a lil off. but then he always sounds amazing. he really has a powerful voice. its crazy how he can sing almost everything. like i was amazing when i first heard him Hydroponikz "hardly breath" and DJZtrip "the walking dead".

yeah...he's quite talented. LoL

:]
that's cool. if i HAD to name my favorite bands in order, it would be LP first. Staind second. i cant really go any farther than that hahaha cause those are pretty much the two bands i listen to most. plus a little bit of everything so i cant really order my music. i do love the offspring too though. :]

aaron has a REALLY good voice too. he goes from sounding so hardcore to so sweet. yeah. he's talented too :D
