I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the upcoming aaron lewis cd. If it will be just him acoustic or him plus a band. Staind has talked about recording an acoustic ep and than starting from where they left off on there last lp. So if it is the members of staind playing the instruments on the cd it will be interesting whether it is titled as aaron lewis or as Staind. If it is just aaron lewis they will be sure not to have this confused with other staind stuff. Also many of the songs rumored to have been on this cd (tangled up in you, something like me) are on stainds new cd. If it is aaron lewis and the cd does have bass drums etc.. would aaron not use his own band mates? Any insight would be appreciated

the record as you call it will be more of an ep if you will. Im sick of wasting singles on clueless executives that think THEY know what YOU want to hear......so it will be a 6 songs for six bucks scenario. I know.... thats lame.....but not my fault Im just addressing the problems with putting so many songs out there in a singles driven market where people refuse to pay the rediculously inflated prices that the record stores ,that are still in business, have to charge. please remember that in this beautiful free market that we have ,this is the niche ive carved out for myself and its a business. im doing the best i can to be a business man when im not being creative. This is my job!! isnt capitalism great!!!! sorry i digress. it will debut in a manner that might seem confusing to some but lots of sleep has been lost trying to come up with the right way to get it out. the problem is that no one nows what to do with it The record label rock radio dept. said it wasnt rock enough The next logical move was the country radio dept.. They said it wasnt country enough yeah thats right!!! i said it !!!! COUNTRY. the closest representation of what these songs sound like are the youtube performances where ben kitterman (my bus driver ) is playing his acoustic dobro with me (see videos section above) so yeah country. If anything they are even more country now cause i went to nashville and worked with THE James Stroud (look his ass up on google) and had some of the finest session musicians nashville has to offer, and my bus driver, :-) play on the tracks. country boy will be the first single. charlie daniels plays the fiddle on it along with giving us a piece of his mind......george jones sings the voice of the devil.....chris young sings harmonies with me on the third verse.................i really cant tell you any more......youll just have to keep an eye on the unexpected music video channels in the next month or so and see for yourself heheh
aaron said on halloween in dallas, that his solo cd would be released on jan 5, 2011. the video to country boy will be debuted on CMT in early december. that was straight from him.
I just got around to reading this. I've heard a couple of versions of Country Boy, thus far, but I'm really intrigued to hear it w/Charlie Daniels, et al! Not to mention how etremely happy I am just to hear that Charlie Daniels is still able to shred after his stroke earlier this year! And, if Chris Young can harmonize w/you half as well as Chris Ballini can, it will of course make it even more awesome. Can't wait!

LOL.. aaron can play a guitar amazingly, but can barely type.. what a world!

LOL!  Aaron you're adorable!!! :)

did'nt Here It Yet got To Go Now

Chris plays in a very bluesy style solo. hes more into the individual notes making music, mike is the same, only he can shred without being really sloppy.

i just hope theres drums, i cant stand songs that dont have somwhat of a full band in a studio version ( except for something to remind you )

Not being a guitar player, Idk the right words to describe it. I wish E-Rock would come in here and explain. But, if you're looking for one sound to be different from one you already have w/someone else, why would that someone even want you to ask them? Like I said, Chris plays totally differently than Mike. I mean, if his solo stuff sounded just like his Staind stuff, and he had someone else to play in Mikes style, I can totally see that. But, if you ever heard Chris play w/Aaron, you'd know what I mean, and I believe you would see that Mike would be hard pressed to be offended.

Like I said, not knowing ANYTHING about guitar playing, I could be totally off. But, I think Chris may play more of the rhythm guitar style, while Mike plays more of the lead guitar style? Man, I wish E-Rock would come in here and answer this correctly! 'Cause I could be giving you a VERY wrong explanation of musical styles, being such a layman.
